How much Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients should I apply?

All you need is a fine mist on the leaves of the whole plant with slight run off. Spray under the leaves also.

Can I over spray with Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients?

No, there is nothing in the Spray-N-Grow Microntrients that can harm your plants.

Can I spray my African Violets with Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients?

Yes, you can spray African Violets. Spray them while the Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients mixture is still warm. African violets do not like cold water on their leaves. If you are still uncomfortable spraying them, you can pour Spray-N-Grow onto the soil or wick up.

How long is Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients usable once mixed?

You need to use the Spray-N-Grow Micronutrienents within 4-6 hours after mixing.

What is the difference between Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients and Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer?

Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients is not a fertilizer. It is a uniquye formula containing 17 different trace elements not in fertilizers. It is “like vitamins for your plants”. Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer is a rich fertilizer full of organic matter including fish, seaweed, humus, sugar cane extract and more. All plants need fertilizer, this is the plants food.

Do I still need to use a fertilizer when I use Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients, or will it be enough?

You still need to use fertilizer because the fertilizer is the actual plant food. We recommend using Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer, but you can use compost, manure, compost tea, good organic matter and/or other commercial fertilizers.

Is Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients a fertilizer?

No, Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients is not a fertilizer. It is a unique, organic-based micronutrient complex for your plants. It is “like vitamins for your plants”. 

What will Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients do for my plants?

Spray-N-Grow Micronutrients enhances what a plant does naturally. If you have a plant that produces flowers, that plant will have more blooms, the blooms will last longer, and the plant will be healthier. Spray-N-Grow can be used with any plant.

What should I do if I do not get a color change when mixing the Spray-N-Grow?

There are three factors that must be present for the Spray-N-Grow to activate (change color). 1. You must use lukewarm water (80° - 100° F)
2. You must have enough Spray-N-Grow in the water (2 tablespoons/1-gallon water)
3. The pH of your water must be 7.1 or higher. If at this point you still do not have a color change, start adding a pinch of baking soda until you see the color change. You can use up to a tablespoon of baking soda.

How many days do I need to wait to use other products?

When using a chemical product, we recommend waiting 5 – 7 days before or after using Spray-N-Grow or the Perfect Blend. When using an organic product wait 2 – 3 days before and after using Spray-N-Grow or the Perfect Blend.

Can I use Spray-N-Grow and Miracle Grow together?

You cannot mix them together, but you can use them individually 5-7 days apart.

What plants can I use the Spray-N-Grow on?

You can use Spray-N-Grow on any plant from A – Z. Vegetable, fruits, flowers, herbs, shrubs, trees, houseplants, even orchids.

I have new plants from the nursery, when can I spray them with Spray-N-Grow for the first time?

You will need to wait 5 – 7 days from the day you receive them. The reason for this is that the nursery may have used a fungicide or a pesticide on the plant and you do not want Spray-N-Grow to react with these products.

When is the best time to spray Spray-N-Grow on my plants?

We recommend using Spray-N-Grow early in the morning (before 9 am) or evening (after 6 pm). We do not recommend using any foliar sprays in the heat of the day. Stomata (the pores of the plant) are open in the dark, so the closer in the day to sunrise or sunset, the better uptake of the nutrients your plants will get.

Can I use Spray-N-Grow in a hose end sprayer?

No, you cannot use a hose end sprayer for Spray-N-Grow. The product must be mixed with warm water and must be allowed to stand for 15 minutes for it to activate.

Can I use Spray-N-Grow every day?

Spray-N-Grow is safe enough to use every day, but it is not necessary. Normally once a week will deliver great results. An additional application is recommended for stressed plants.

Can I use Spray-N-Grow at double strength?

You can use the Spray-N-Grow at double strength.

Can I pick my fruit & vegetables the same day I spray?

Yes, there is nothing in Spray-N-Grow, Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer or Coco-Wet that is harmful. It is safe to use these products up to the day of harvest.

What time of year should I stop spraying the Spray-N-Grow?

You can spray Spray-N-Grow year-round.

My Spray-N-Grow, has black specks or stringy stuff floating in my bottle is it still good?

Yes, the Stringy, Black stuff is considered the mother liquor it is from the settlement in the barrels when we make it.

Is Spray-N-Grow nontoxic?

Yes, Spray-N-Grow is completely nontoxic and safe.

Can I put too much Spray-N-Grow on my plants or use it too often?

No, you cannot spray too much Spray-N-Grow on plants or use it too often.

Can rain wash Spray-N-Grow off my plants?

Once the spray is dry, watering or rain cannot wash it off.

How soon will I be able to see a difference in my plants after applying Spray-N-Grow?

Normally you will see a difference in 7-30 days depending on whether it is a tender or a woody plant (tender plants react faster). On fruits and vegetables, the main results are at harvest. Spray-N-Grow treated plants have always had significate yield increases when compared to control plants in scientific tests conducted by universities and independent researchers.

What kind of sprayer do I use to apply Spray-N-Grow?

You can use any sprayer that provides a fine mist. The only sprayer that cannot be used with Spray-N-Grow is a hose-end sprayer. Any sprayer, even a new one, must be thoroughly washed with a sudsy ammonia (2 Tbsp) and water solution, and then rinsed with clean water prior to using Spray-N-Grow. 

How much coverage will I get with Spray-N-Grow?

Generally, two tablespoons mixed with one gallon of warm water will cover approximately 600-700 square feet, depending on the size, density, and type of plants.

Can I use/mix Spray-N-Grow with other products?

Chemical Products
If you are using a chemical fertilizer, fungicide, or insecticide, we recommend waiting 5-7 days before or after using Spray-N-Grow on your plants.
Organic Products
We recommend waiting 2-3 days before or after using Spray-N-Grow on your plants. Combining Products
Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer and Coco-Wet are the ONLY products that can be mixed in the water with Spray-N-Grow.

How often do I spray Spray-N-Grow?

You can apply the Spray-N-Grow as often as you would like, there is nothing in Spray-N-Grow that can harm your plants. We suggest applying the Spray-N-Grow every 1-3 weeks.
